The Uplift Outreach Center will temporarily be housed at Fernwood Baptist Church while the group raises money and plans a downtown facility.

The nonprofit held a fundraiser earlier this month – The Rainbow Ball – and raised $13,000 toward the center. Debra Foreman, PFLAG Spartanburg president, said between $50,000 to $100,000 is needed to develop center space downtown. Fernwood Baptist Church has agreed to allow PFLAG Spartanburg to use space while a search for a permanent site continues. The church is at 200 Fernwood Drive.
